That's us behind Hola Mila: Michèle, with Mila and Krümel.
Hola Mila started with a love story. It began with a little dog called Mila, and in time it turned into a shop we built with all our heart.
Michèle was born in Germany in 1993, and animals have always been part of her life. Besides Mila and Krümel there's a cat and a horse in the family. But Mila is the one who changed things for good.
Mila came to us when she was one. She had been at a shelter in Sardinia, and she found her home with Michèle. There was something between the two of them from the first day. Mila turned out to be the kind of dog you probably only get once: the one who doesn't just live with the family but becomes a part of you.
That's why the shop carries her name. Hola Mila is our small tribute to her, and to everything she means to us. Her face is in the logo, so she comes along at every step.
After Mila we took in foster dogs from Sardinia. They stayed with us a while, learned to trust people again and, when they were ready, moved on to families of their own. Every one of them left a mark.
Krümel was the last of them, and it didn't take us long to see that he was never leaving. Krümel stayed. And with him, our family was complete.
In late 2025 Michèle closed her German chapter and started again in Spain, a country she had always felt close to. We live in Andalusia now, with sun and sea, a culture we love and a way of living that is calmer and lighter.
One thing hasn't changed: animals are still at the centre of our life. We keep working with rescue here in Spain, and we support Miracle Hill in particular, a project for dogs who need a second chance.
It was in this new life in Spain that Michèle finally did the thing she had wanted to do for years: open her own shop for dogs. That's how Hola Mila began.
There are plenty of shops selling dog accessories. Nothing wrong with that. We wanted to do it a little differently.
We want a shop made by people who live with dogs, for people who live with dogs.
Our dogs aren't an accessory to our life. They're in all of it: at home, on walks, on trips, on the big adventures and in the small everyday moments. They're part of our family and part of how we live.
So when we pick a product, we look at what actually matters. That it's practical. That it works. That it's comfortable and holds up. And then we want something more from it: that it's beautiful, a bit special, with some style to it.
We like things that make life with a dog easier without giving up on how they look. And we go looking for the ones you won't find in every shop, small details that let each dog have a style of their own.
Because every dog is one of a kind. And so is the person beside them.
Hola Mila comes out of our own life with dogs, our love for animals and everything we've been through with them. We don't want to be one more dog accessory shop. We want a place for everyone who knows, like we do, that a dog is much more than a pet.
They're family. They're adventure. They're home. They're love.
